In modern times, Mary Anning is recognized around the world as one of the greatest fossil-hunters ever known. She and her family went on to discover many more new species, finds which aided scientific study and provided evidence for the theory of evolution. Most recently, Mary’s life provided the basis for Tracy Chevalier’s best-selling novel Remarkable Creatures. During this tour you will see where Mary Anning lived and where she sold her fossils.
